SUSTAINABILITY
Climate neutral since 2024
MIMplus Technologies has already achieved CO2 neutrality in Scope 1 and 2 according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol by 2024. We are continuing to work on making our processes and our site even more sustainable by increasing energy efficiency and resource efficiency and reducing our waste.
Milestones in our sustainability efforts
We have been continuously improving our ecological footprint since the 1990s. The aim is to achieve this not only in Germany but throughout the entire Group.
Water consumption
Since the 1990s, we have halved our freshwater consumption through advanced recirculated water treatment systems, despite increased output.
Waste Reduction
Waste generation has also been reduced by approximately 30% over the past decades, despite increased output.
Reduced energy consumption
In 2024, we introduced a heat recovery system to utilise waste process heat for heating the building. This has reduced heating requirements by over 50%.
Green electricity
Since 2023, we have exclusively used electricity from renewable energy sources for our MIM-production in Germany.
Green gas
Since the beginning of 2024, we have only been using gas that is CO2-compensated for our MIM production in Germany.
MIM a green technology
MIM is a resource-efficient process with a material utilization rate of 90 to 95%, significantly higher than conventional methods such as machining.
Recycling
Through ongoing advancements in our manufacturing processes, we can now use recycled materials for functional components.
