Review of the AM Forum 2026

· March 13, 2026

One of the most important European platforms for discussing industrial additive manufacturing applications.

Once again, the AM Forum 2026 in Berlin demonstrated the dynamic development of industrial additive manufacturing this year.

On 10 and 11 March, over 750 participants, around 60 exhibitors and more than 100 speakers gathered at the Estrel Congress Centre Berlin to discuss the technology's current developments, applications and future potential.

For us, the AM Forum was a resounding success, providing many opportunities for engaging discussions.
In particular, we found the opportunity to meet with long-standing partners, existing customers, and new contacts at the trade fair to be invaluable.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for many international representatives from various industries to exchange ideas about current projects, challenges, and new fields of application for additive manufacturing.

Focus on networking and personal exchange

The event's open and informal atmosphere, combined with the various additional activities, provided ample opportunity for personal interaction and valuable networking.

Industrial Scaling of Additive Manufacturing

The event's motto, 'Scaling Impact: Realising the Potential of Industrial AM”, was reflected in numerous sessions and workshops. Topics such as the industrial use of additive manufacturing, process stability, integration into existing production chains and new materials took centre stage.

In this context, the technical presentation given by our Division Manager, D. Gerbert, on the first day of the trade fair, on the Expert Stage, met with great interest.

"The presentation was very well attended, leading to many exciting questions and in-depth discussions afterwards. Events such as the AM Forum are valuable precisely because they facilitate professional exchange between users, developers and industry experts." - D. Gerbert

This year's focus topics

In addition to new materials, the use of additive manufacturing in the defence sector was a particularly hot topic this year. These applications demonstrate the strong presence of 3D printing technologies in security-critical and technically demanding industries.

Strong demand for real applications

There was strong demand for real applications, and our booth was well attended throughout the two days.

Our specific applications attracted particular interest. Rather than presenting individual components, we showed the complete context of the application, i.e. the component in its actual area of application.

This approach impressed many visitors, as it clearly demonstrated the added value that additive manufacturing offers throughout the development and use of a system or product.

Our conclusion about the event

Additive manufacturing has long since become an integral part of modern production strategies in many industries.
At the same time, it became clear that interest in specific applications and new uses continues to grow strongly.
Events such as the AM Forum provide a valuable opportunity for networking, sharing ideas, and collaborating on the further development of the technology.
